About me

Hello, and welcome! Thank you so much for visiting my website. My name is Daniela Barry, and I am the owner and founder of Daybreak Lactation Support. I am a registered nurse (BSN, RN) and a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) based in Morris, Illinois.

I married my college sweetheart, Hunter, in 2017. Since then, we have had two children who keep us busier than ever! I love my job as a labor and delivery nurse, and when I’m not at work, you can usually find me baking sourdough bread or curled up with a good book. I also love being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

I am deeply passionate about supporting families as they navigate the postpartum period—whether you are welcoming your very first baby or adding another little one to a growing family. As a mother who has experienced two breastfeeding journeys of my own, I understand firsthand the challenges that can arise during this season. From latching difficulties and positioning concerns to interpreting feeding cues and everything in between—I’ve been there.

My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based support to help make the newborn phase feel more manageable and empowering. I would be honored to walk alongside you and help build confidence as you care for your baby.

Please visit my Services page to learn more about how I can best support you and your family.

Disclaimer:

I am a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), which differs from an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I provide services strictly within the CLC scope of practice, including education on postpartum and breastfeeding topics, assistance with latch and positioning, and guidance on feeding cues, cluster feeding, and related concerns. I do not diagnose or treat mothers or babies in any capacity.
